GIVE JOYFULLY
Why we give
When we give, we worshipfully sacrifice something of value to us in order to advance the Kingdom of God - here in our city, and everywhere in the world.
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-8

Where do GLCs meet?In different homes throughout the Abbotsford/Mission area.
-
When do GLCs meet?Different GLCs meet on different days of the week, depending on the schedules and rhythms of life in that group.
-
What happens in a GLC?GLCs meet for fellowship over a potluck dinner, have a sermon-based study and discussion time, and spend time in prayer. GLCs are encouraged to find areas in the church or community where they can serve together.
-
Who leads the GLCs?GLCs are led by pastors and other church leaders.
-
Do you need to be a King Road member to join a GLC?Nope! If you call King Road Church your home but haven’t become a member yet, you’re more than welcome to join a GLC. Even if you’re simply exploring what Christianity is about at this point, you’re welcome to join a GLC. We just ask that if you call a different church “home”, that you would get connected there.
-
Do GLCs run all year long? The official schedule will be in 8-10 week ‘seasons’, but groups have the freedom to continue meeting in the ‘offseason’. We plan on having three seasons per year: one in fall, one in winter, and one in spring.
-
Where do the GLCs serve? This depends on each GLC. A group may choose a particular ministry within the church that they want to serve in, or they may choose to serve with one of our church ministry partners outside the church, or they may choose to serve at a local school, seniors home, or as a part of a sports league. The point of the service projects will be to make Jesus known in our community by building friendships and letting people know the Gospel through our words and our actions.
We thank you for your generous gift! Your gift helps us meet our ministry obligations and commitments.
