Bible Reading Plan
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly..."
Everyone is encouraged to participate in this 2-year Bible reading plan! During this time, we’ll read the Old Testament once, the New Testament twice, and the Psalms approximately five times.
A Bible Reading Plan helps you to read the whole Bible in a systematic way. Practiced repeatedly over a lifetime, this habit helps you to deepen your understanding of the overall narrative of Scripture, its major themes and recurring images, and “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27).
Reading God's word is how we are "washed" (Ephesians 5:26) and purified anew each day.
There are several ways for you to follow this plan:
- we will post a monthly download of the texts on our website
- we will have paper copies of the plan and of the journaling tips and prayer guide at the Info Centre
- we are making journals available which include the plan. These can be ordered for $5 and provide lots of space to write.
Additionally, there will be a monthly Bible memorization challenge. The passage for January is Philippians 2:5-11. If you want a bigger challenge, memorize Philippians 2:1-11.
Click here to download the readings for January... we encourage all to participate. May God’s Word impact our lives in amazing ways!
Life Journaling with others
Life Journaling is also a great way to share Scripture insights together. Find one or a few friends with whom you can meet regularly (e.g. weekly) to share in the Life Journaling experience.
