A Snapshot of Summer
"I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.
Dear King road Church,
At times, the task of updating the events of summer can seem arduous. How can one accurately describe the events of six camps in five weeks, explain the stories of about 120 athletes and 6+ coaches along with everything else that God is doing? Below I have included a series of pictures from camps and a series of verses that have encouraged me.
Southern Alberta Bible Camp:
(A camp's classic... MASS D in Vernon.)
"My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work."
Abbotsford Day Camp:
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Beach Camp and Community Outreach Camp in Surrey
What is left?
- Staff Retreat with our 4:12 participants
- Overnight camp at CBC. We will have 80+ people involved with this camp! Double our umber from last year.
- Summer wrap up.
On The Personal Front
Below pictures, all taken from a recent 4-day canoe trip on the Powell Forest Canoe Route in Powell River:
Thank you to all for your ongoing prayers and words of encouragement. This summer has been packed with exciting experiences, coupled with some exhausting weeks. The verses scattered throughout this update are ones which have provided me with a direction and a reassurance of what my focus needs to be. Working with people and with ministry has opportunities for joy and disappointment. Working with God provides an opportunity to rely on a constant source of grace, love and purpose.
